MIB may refer to any of the following:
1. With a lowercase "b," Mib is an abbreviation for mebibit.
2. With an uppercase "B," MiB is an abbreviation for mebibyte.
3. Short for Management Information Base, MIB is a database of objects that can be monitored by NMS (Network Management Software). Each MIB is identified by an OID (Object IDentifier) and is a commonly an integer or string value that defines a network device setting or status.
